No DB imported with cmd command

I am a newbie (teacher of psychology). So I tried do execute this command on Windows command line:

C:UsersPaoloDesktopcogito>mysql -u"root" -p "root" -default-character-set=utf8 cogito_importato < cogito_database.sql

I got this message error:

mysql: [ERROR] mysql: unknown option '-d'

Before I logged on as a root and I created an empty database named cogito_importato. The database definitely exists because I get this output with the command show databases;:

+--------------------+
Database
+--------------------+
cogito_importato
information_schema
mysql
performance_schema
sakila
sys
world
+--------------------+

What’s wrong with MySQL.8.0?
