Difference between SPN and Managed Service Account

I’m a bit confused:

  1. what is the difference between a SPN (ServicePrincipalName) and a Managed Service Account?
  2. using PowerShell: why the are two properties (ServicePrincipalName and ServicePrinciapalNames) of an ADUser?
