FBX SDK – How to convert transform to local space?

  3dsmax, c++, fbx, sdk

Based on this script (originally made for 3ds max), how to convert this function to FBX SDK?

fn GetLocalTM obj =
(
    matLocal = copy obj.transform

    if obj.parent != undefined then
    (
        matLocal = obj.transform * ( inverse obj.parent.transform )
    )

    return matLocal
)

(do I assume this converts to local space?)
