How to fix SOIL unresolved external errors

So I’m working on making textures for a project in glut that I’m working on, but I keep on getting this error:
error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _SOIL_load_OGL_texture
Here is the code that causes it:
GLuint textureID = SOIL_load_OGL_texture(path, SOIL_LOAD_AUTO, SOIL_CREATE_NEW_ID, SOIL_FLAG_MIPMAPS);
I’m not using normal SOIL, but another version that has been precompiled:

I have also included the librarys and headers into the project
I’m using visual studio 2017
I have also tried to use regular SOIL, but there were compilation errors in visual studio.

Nevermind! I fixed it, it was just I did not retarget the solution when compiling
